Texas Chili

  • 1lb ground sirloin
  • 1lb lean steak, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup chili powder
  • 2 Tbsp ground cumin
  • 2 tsp parika
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 (15oz) can tomatoes diced with chilies
  • 2 (8oz) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 (15oz) cans red beans
Brown beef in a large pot. Stir in remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer 1 hour.

Serve with rice, tortilla chips or saltine crackers, if desired.

Serves 4-6
